About Us

YALADA TOURS is a social enterprise led by the Eastern Kuku Yalanji Elders, guardians of the world’s oldest rainforest and culture.

We are dedicated to cultural preservation, conservation, and sharing the beauty of this land in a way that is respectful, regenerative, and transformative.

Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation (Jabalbina) was established to help the Kuku-Yalanji people regain control of their traditional lands and ensure that the rich knowledge and customs of their ancestors continue to guide the future. Today Jabalbina employs over 70 people almost all of which are Eastern Kuku Yalanji leaders. Jabalbina runs a range of programs including the Jabalbina Rangers, Foresters, Youth Program, Indigenous Protected Area, Management of Diantree and three other national parks and a range of startup enterprises.

Jabalbina means “home of the ancestors,” a fitting name for an organisation dedicated to cultural and environmental preservation. Since its establishment, Jabalbina has played a key role in the recognition of Kuku-Yalanji Native Title rights and the ongoing management of their Bubu (Country).
Through partnerships with conservation groups, researchers, and local communities, Jabalbina leads efforts in rainforest restoration, sustainable tourism, and cultural education. Their Indigenous Ranger Program trains young Kuku-Yalanji custodians in traditional and modern land management practices, ensuring that the responsibility of caring for Country is passed down to future generations.
Yalada Tours is proudly owned by Jabalbina, ensuring that every step of this journey is guided by the wisdom and leadership of the Kuku-Yalanji people. Every guest who joins the tour is directly supporting Indigenous-led conservation and cultural revitalisation, becoming part of a living story that continues to unfold.
